Interact Club Cooking Up a Fingerlicking Good Fried Chicken Dinner

On January 27, 2011 the Rotary of Marietta Club Rotarians Chris Gruehn, Bret Tyler and Dale Covington teamed with seven high school students from the Interact Club at The Walker School in bringing the first dinner of the new year to approximately 50 guests at the Extension. Sera Kim, Co-President of the Interact Club, oversaw the meal’s preparation and service. Helping Sera were Jaemin Yoon, Bianca Desai, Elizabeth Kacer, Kyle Rehl, Michael Leithood and Stephanie Will. Everyone bowed their heads as Michael said grace before all dived into a delicious meal of fried chicken, macaroni-and-cheese and green beans seasoned with bacon and chili tomatoes. Rave reviews abounded as folks lined-up for seconds of everything.

The Rotary Club of Marietta is a local service organization that is part of Rotary International. We are the fastest growing club in the District and one that abounds with enthusiasm, energy and friendship.  Founded in 1919, we are one of the oldest and largest in Georgia. Our club has a wide range of projects and service opportunities local, national and international. Our member’s range from age 27 years to 97 years and the interchange between the members gives enormous opportunities for learning, mentoring and networking.
